Director of Managed Services

Mr. Heaphy has spent more than 20 years with direct responsibility for IT project management, back-end IT architecture design and management, systems and network engineering, software development and development support, sales and operations support, and technology training. As Vice President of IT Applications at National Data Corporation and NDCHealth (now a part of McKesson Corporation), he had responsibility of company-wide (US, Canada, UK) for distributed computing, IP networking and telecomm-based TCP/IP activities, both engineering and support. In these efforts, he and his teams worked closely with Microsoft, SUN, HP, IBM, Red Hat (Linux), Oracle, Sybase, Cisco, 3Com, AT&T, Sprint and others. Business lines supported included credit card processing, pharmacy systems and claims processing, medical office management systems and claims, hospital claims and receivables systems.

Mr. Heaphy was also responsible for providing program management and functional support to include strategic budgeting and capital planning, technology due diligence for acquisitions and investments, IT architecture strategy, IT engineering, application development management, development support and IT standards. These services were provided to multiple data processing locations (at one time over 20 worldwide, at departure had been successfully reduced to 6). His teams were responsible for corporate HQ network and open systems engineering, network management and security, e-mail, CRM, HRIS and Financial IS implementation and support, as well as server, PC and productivity applications support.

Since joining PearlNet, Mr. Heaphy has been responsible for major project management as well as both internal and contract IT management and support. Selected projects include enterprise web application development for a major non-profit, fiber-optic network cabling (both inside and outside plant) for MARTA, and management of major A/V implementation projects including a high-visibility classroom renovation for the US Air Force Air War College.
